From the field to the table  we are 100% Organic.

Texas Best Organics is USDA, CCOF and Kosher certified. We also mill to order, that way insuring freshly  milled rice on every order.  

All of our rice is Non-GMO tested and is gluten free. 

How is Texas Best Organics milling different from the others? We have incorporated a seven-step milling process to insure the rice is 100% organic. 

 The Slack family are fifth generation rice farmers with over 100 years of rice farming experience. The family farms originated in Louisiana then in 1964 Cecil purchased a rice farm located in China, Texas. 

Texas Best Organics is one of the largest organic rice producers in Texas, and one of the first organic rice producers in Texas. The family prides itself on the fact there is no chance of contamination by conventional products or practices resulting in a 100% organic product.

Cecil Slack founded Texas Best Organics in February 2000. The family had been farming organic rice for over 38 years but decided to go into the processing part of the business in order to deliver the end product. This way they could control the organic quality of the product by building and running an organic rice mill. Cecil believed his experience and knowledge would give him insight for successful organic rice farming. He managed to produce high yields by selecting the right varieties of rice that tend to grow more vigorously in natural conditions. He also used land cultivation and aggressive water management techniques and practices. The cultivation needs between conventional rice and organic rice are very different. Organic rice uses no man-made pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers.
